Sisters on Track (2021). Directed by Tone Grøttjord-Glenne and Corinne van der Borch. Synopsis: A coming of age story about hope, belonging, and the metaphorical and literal sisterhood of young athletes Tai, Rainn, and Brooke Sheppard living in New York. Debuts on Netflix on June 24th, 2021.

Roadrunner: A Film about Anthony Bourdain (2021). Directed by Morgan Neville. Synopsis: A documentary about Anthony Bourdain and his career as a chef, writer and host, revered and renowned for his authentic approach to food, culture and travel. Debuts in the US on July 16th, 2021.

Bergman Island (2021). Written and directed by Mia Hansen-Løve. Starring Mia WasikowskaVicky KriepsTim Roth. Synopsis: An American filmmaking couple spend the summer writing screenplays on an island to that served as a key inspiration for Ingmar Bergman. US release date is TBA.

No Sudden Move (2021). Directed by Steven Soderbergh. Written by Ed Solomon. Starring Noah JupeMatt DamonBrendan Fraser. Synopsis: A group of criminals are brought together under mysterious circumstances and have to work together to uncover what's really going on when their simple job goes completely sideways. Debuts on HBO Max on July 1st, 2021.

Mary J. Blige's My Life (2021). Directed by Vanessa Roth. Synopsis: A look at the life and work of Grammy-winning artist Mary J. Blige. Debuts on Prime Video on June 25th, 2021.

America: The Motion Picture (2021). Directed by Matt Thompson. Written by Dave Callaham. Starring Channing TatumSimon PeggJudy Greer. Synopsis: A chainsaw-wielding George Washington teams with beer-loving bro Sam Adams to take down the Brits in a tongue-in-cheek riff on the American Revolution. Debuts on Netflix on June 30th, 2021.

Ailey (2021). Directed by Jamila Wignot. Synopsis: An immersive portrait of dance pioneer Alvin Ailey, told through his own words and a new dance inspired by his life. Debuts in the US on July 23rd, 2021.

Werewolves Within (2021). Directed by Josh Ruben. Written by Mishna Wolff. Starring Sam RichardsonMilana VayntrubGeorge Basil. Synopsis: Feature adaptation of the video game where werewolves attack a small town. Debuts in the US on July 2nd, 2021.

Lansky (2021). Written and directed by Eytan Rockaway. Starring Harvey Keitel, AnnaSophia Robb, Sam Worthington. Synopsis: When the aging Meyer Lansky is investigated one last time by the Feds who suspect he has stashed away millions of dollars over half a century, the retired gangster spins a dizzying tale, revealing the untold truth about his life as the notorious boss of Murder Inc. and the National Crime Syndicate. Debuts in the US on June 25th, 2021.

Synopsis: A mysterious former secret service agent must urgently return to France when his estranged son is falsely accused of arms and drug trafficking by the government, following a blunder by an overzealous bureaucrat and a mafia operation. Debuts on Netflix on July 30th, 2021.

Petrov's Flu (2021). Written and directed by Kirill Serebrennikov (based on the novel by Alexey Salnikov). Starring Yuri KolokolnikovYuliya PeresildChulpan Khamatova. Synopsis: A day in the life of a comic book artist and his family in post-Soviet Russia. While suffering from the flu, Petrov is carried by his friend Igor on a long walk, drifting in and out of fantasy and reality. US release date is TBA.

Synopsis: A thriller about a family on a tropical holiday who discover that the secluded beach where they are relaxing for a few hours is somehow causing them to age rapidly reducing their entire lives into a single day. Debuts in the US on July 23rd, 2021.

Matt writes: "Crazy Rich Asians" director Jon M. Chu's highly anticipated adaptation of Lin-Manuel Miranda's musical, "In the Heights," debuts in theaters and HBO Max this Thursday, June 10th. Matt writes: A long-lost classic from trailblazing filmmaker George A. Romero ("Night of the Living Dead"), 1973's "The Amusement Park," was recently restored and is now streaming on Shudder.
